Recent Grad of King's College, I've taken alot of time off from school to work on campaigns.
Pennsylvania's Lieutenant Governor has passed away after battling with neuroendocrine cancer. Catherine Baker Knoll was 78.
Sorry So Brief....
According to Fox29 in Philly, Sarah Palin will be watching tomorrow's debate in Philly at the Irish Pub on Walnut St.
Palin will be at the Irish Pub on Walnut Street on Friday night for a public debate watching party, if the debate between John McCain and Barack Obama continues as planned.
Uh.. I thought the campaign was suspended?
Mixed messages from the McCain campaign? Never!
For some reason, the RNC has dropped Rudy from the bill tonight, giving his slot to the equally energizing former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson.
Before she was a city council member, before she was a mayor, before she was even governor of the great state of Alaska, Sarah Palin (then Heath) did sports for KTUU in Anchorage.
This morning at a rally in New Hampshire, Bill O'Reilly was trying to get Sen. Obama's attention and was shouting at an Obama aide to move. Secret Service swept in to mitigate the situation.

I am in NO WAY a Ron Paul supporter. I think he's a nutcase, but I'm scared by his ability fundraise, and this poll was sent to me by a friend who is a Paul supporter.
It's a blind poll, so the results mean if Paul is able to reach enough voters with his bio and message, he will gain their support.
"32.8 per cent chose the description matching Ron Paul, while just 18.6 percent chose the description matching Rudy Giuliani. Just 12.6 per cent went for Fred Thompson's description while 15.1 per cent went for Mitt Romney."

I was a regional field director for the 2nd CD for Joe Lieberman in 2006. Thanks to my new friend tparty, I've been given the opportunity to give the MLN community a behind-the-scenes look at the historic '06 primary from a new perspective.
In the spring of '06 I had decided not to return to school to pursue a career in restaurant management. That didn't last long, especially when I realized my passion was in politics. I signed up for Democratic Gain and sent my resume to just about every race I could. I interviewed for jobs in New Jersey, Missouri, Michigan, Washington and here in Pennsylvania. I was leaning toward the job in Jersey when I got a call from Lieberman's field director. We talked for about an hour, and he offered me a job. I was pretty excited, because Lieberman was a national figure, and I thought it would look great on my resume.
More in the extended entry...
In a 1994 speech in a forum hosted by the New York Post on city crime, then mayor Guiliani gave an interesting speech with plenty of good quotes for oppo. research including this gem:
"Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do."
Yowzers. And here I always thought freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose.
